GREETINGS TO ALL !!!!!
It's been an extremely, excruciatingly painful pseudo separation that me & my blog have suffered for quite some time. Almost 5 months of Indian Idol and what do I have to write about it??? Loads, I'm sure. But at the same time I know that putting everything into words may nigh be impossible, because sometimes there are things that you can just experience and not relate. The Indian Idol journey is a part of me, and I shall try my best to put it forward. I wasn't able to keep a journal during this sojourn because I was busy and I prefer typing anyday over writing as well. Methinks I shall have to rely a lot on memory (which fails me often) and walk down that path again. So many months of speaking in Hindi (the language of choice when I speak) has taken the sheen off my English vocabulary a bit. As my favorite line goes, "I shall try my best."
But hey ! This blog isn't about my journey, atleast not yet, because the recounting of that magical voyage will take some time. For now, all I want to do is thank each and every person who has appreciated my work, my voice, my sincerity and has accepted me as I am, and in spite of what I am. Believe me, it is YOU who have given me newfound confidence and have also taught me that there is something good for good people out there :) YOU, whereever you may be, young or old, male or female - people of the world, you've made me a new person. Many people ask me , " How does it feel to be a celebrity?" - and although I've never used this answer, the reply that comes from the depths of my heart is that the best thing about being a celebrity is the power to make someone smile.... A smile is worth a thousand words, and if I can make people smile through my words, my voice and my smile ;) then I consider my life fulfilled.
Thank you very, very much. Life has changed a lot, for the better . But remember this, I remain the same always. I may not be able to reply to everyone. I may not be able to accept friend requests. All I can say is that YOU reside in my heart, and I can never ignore you.
Thank you for all the love. It takes a lovely person to give love, and I am fortunate to have recieved this love from such special people

You are quite a writer and a singer too :) For the first time I watched the Indian Idol show and it was truly a fascinating experience: rushing home, cursing the traffic...screaming at the autowala with the lil hindi I know "ana chalti chalo indian idol start karniwala hi" something like that. (I've even started humming hindi songs :)) Strangely I cried for every finalist that got voted out! Am sure the entire nation developed a decent amount of attachment with you guys. I hope all of you will continue to sing and make yourself heard.

Hey. Thanks for blog at last...U write quite well, I must say. Anyways, I know u must've got millions, but lets add another 1 to it...Congrats! The only thing I'm curious about is, how do you feel after the show? I mean how has it changed your life? I dont mean to offend you or anything, but I dont reckon you're a star now or anything. I mean u r just a singer and calling yourself a star seems a bit 'over proud' (if that makes sense...!)

Hi Chang, you have a great stage presence and it's entertaining to watch you sing. And I don't even understand Hindi. Maybe you should leverage on that to blast off a singing or show entertaining career. Can always fall back on dentistry if it doesn't work out.

Wow... Meiyang! Chang!!! Meiyang Chang!!!!!!! I was randomly listening to Hindi songs on youtube.com, and I stumbled upon yours by sheer serendipity! OMG! YOUR VOICE IS SERIOUSLY WITHOUT A DOUBT THE BEST EVER! I live in the states, Indian origin, and omg- I wish I could have been in India or had known about this Indian Idol-- I totally would have voted for you a million times over! Man, your voice could -- not scratch that-- would totally give Kishore Kumar and Adnan Sami something to totally get scared about! Man, you totally should have won this! I LOVE LOVE LOVE YOUR VOICE! Please let me know if you plan on making a CD or anything-- you're voice is absolutely scintillating! Honestly, there are no words that will do you, your talent, your beautiful voice justice. I found your blog links on India-Forums and came down here. nice to hear that you're going to write about indian idol.
I loved your Mahivey. Your personality came out so well in that. I used to always wonder what song you would sing next. I got hooked on to you after listening to Salaam -e-Ishq. There was something about that sadak chap style that appealed to me.
I think you should get all your song links from youtube and recount your indian idol experience in a seperate blog.

Do keep writing anecdotes of Indian Idol. For a lay man, that's how far from, we get to experience this sort of journey. I know you will do well. Hey Meiyang...I happened to watch your Idol performances. You were pretty awesome. (I would say the Dil Kya Kare one stood out!That was Mindblowing).It was disappointing that you couldn't go further in the competition but you got to where not many guys do.
